Principal Contracts Manager, Journeyman
to work out of
El Segundo, CA*Position is contingent upon award of contract*Pay:
$88,000 - $98,000Essential Duties:Conducts the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts and subcontracts to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.Analyze estimates of material, equipment and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.Duties also include reviewing contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements.Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.Interprets and administers policies, processes, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate work units.
Required Qualification:Expert in Federal, DoD, Air Force, and SSC contracting processes and proceduresDemonstrates ability to assist gov with all aspects of any contract action required by the program office, including but not limited to solicitations, change proposals, funding modifications and award, or incentive fee managementPrior PCO or buyer experience preferredHighly Desired: past or present experience with SSC or mission partner space control or space situational awareness mission area programs
Education:Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience.Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experiencePhD or Juris Doctorate degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
