PLG Damage Attorneys, PLLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of case management, legal research, and client communication. Responsibilities: • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and subpoenas. • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all relevant documents are filed appropriately. • Monitor and calendar case deadlines, court appearances, and hearings. • Conduct legal research to support attorneys in case preparation. • Summarize and analyze legal documents, statutes, and regulations. • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the firm's practice areas. • Act as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and court personnel. • Communicate case updates and gather information from clients as needed. • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships. • Draft and proofread legal correspondence, memos, and other documents. • Schedule appointments, and meetings, and maintain attorney calendars. • Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate parties. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred. • Bilingual (Spanish/English) HIGHLY preferred. • At least 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a law firm setting required. • Familiarity with legal research tools and databases. • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software. • Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take initiative. • Certification as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal is a plus. Compensation: $18 - $25 hourly
