The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of surgical oncology and/or endocrine surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching of medical students and residents.
Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient and operative care of patients with cancer-related disease.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and/or basic science research in topics related to endocrine and oncologic surgery, as well as participation in clinical trials.
This position will be full-time and based primarily at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. It will include the role Chief of the Division of Endocrine and Oncologic Surgery, with administrative responsibilities as one of 11 division chiefs in the department.
