Our customers rely on our platform for some of their most critical infrastructure.Partner with the bestTechnical Account Managers work directly with customers to understand and address their greatest needs in API Security. Our customers rely on our platform to secure their APIs and proactively mitigate attacks. As a TAM, you'll help customers by problem-solving, being empathetic, thinking creatively, and understanding cybersecurity. You will drive customer impact by mapping APIs, assess exposure, showcase attack patterns and indicators of compromise.As a Security Technical Account Manager II, you will be responsible for:Familiarizing yourself with customer environments, requirements, and milestones in order to help drive valueBuilding and maintaining professional relationships with decision-makers and owning the technical relationships with customersPerforming technical customer presentations and demos and also identifying true positive attacks and showcasing to customersServing as a product and application security SME supporting customers and communicating technical concepts with various audiencesProviding customer feedback to product management on enhancement requests, escalations, and bugs to support teams as neededAdapting to complex, changing business environments to deliver valuable solutions to enterprise customersExplaining features and benefits to customers, while also providing updates on features, bug fixes, and product roadmapsDo what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:Have 5 years experience and a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, related field or equivalent.Have security knowledge of API vulnerabilities and attacks, including OWASP Top 10 and OWASP API Top 10Demonstrate excellent knowledge and experience with a wide variety of cloud and cybersecurity solutions (specifically API security)Understand Application Security Principles and how to apply them in the app development processHave excellent listening skills with the ability to ask probing questions, understanding and anticipating the customer's prioritiesDemonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability of proactively identifying technical issues and driving solutions to technical problemsWork in a way that works for youFlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world. The base salary for this position ranges from $80,900 - $168,100/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
