BI Development ManagerAmadeus Travel Intelligence is looking for a Manager, Software Development for our commercial Decision Support technology team. This team is responsible for building and supporting components responsible for Product Development of the Amadeus Travel Intelligence Product suite.The Amadeus Travel Intelligence products provide critical insights to our customers that assist them in increasing revenue and profitability. Ensuring access to the right data at the right time helps our customers accelerate revenue for long-term growth.With Amadeus’ Travel Intelligence Solutions, customers unlock a complete, 360-degree view of rate, occupancy, and distribution trends with both forward-looking and historical data, as well as data from different competitive sets in their market.In this role, you will lead a Cloud migration effort, moving from on-premises data center to Azure-based environment with Databricks driving the platform. You will be the overall technical delivery manager overseeing multiple scrum teams working to transition products and services to the Cloud.Specific Accountabilities:
Accountable for the budget, performance, and results of a medium-sized team or multiple teams of employees. Influences the resource, budget and policy planning and sets concrete development plans for the team members.Has a mid/long-term vision of the activity and the business, influences the department's strategy based on a broad understanding of the environment. Exposed to complex decision making.Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions, escalating issues only when necessary.Accountability / Business acumen:
Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision according to the department/division/company objectives.Report on team activities.Be accountable for the performance and results of a unit within own discipline or function.Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.Suggest alternatives/improvements/new techniques in processes, flows, operational models and plans.Moderate budgetary impact on business.Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan; receive guidance from senior manager.Technical excellence:
Timely manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries.Collaborate with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure that software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance.Communication:
Ensure timely and appropriate communication to team members regarding company/organization information.Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.Relevant work experience:
10+ years working in the Information Technology Industry.5+ years team lead or people management.ScrumMaster Certification (preferred).Azure Cloud migration experience.Technical Skills:
Experience with Cloud migrations, especially Big Data.Azure.Databricks.Python.PySpark.React.Java.Kubernetes.Docker.Datadog/Splunk/Prometheus/Grafana.Significant experience mitigating output of CISO audits and requirements.Best practices across the full Software Development Lifecycle (requirements, development, quality assurance, release management).Construction of highly efficient scalable systems.Working at Amadeus, you will find:
