Job Title
Manager, QAAmadeus Travel Business Intelligence (BI) is looking for Manager, Software Quality Assurance. Travel BI aggregates internal and external data into commercial data products delivered as a service DaaS as well as dashboards and applications.
The Amadeus Travel BI products provide critical insights to our customers that assist them in increasing revenue and profitability. Ensuring access to the right data at the right time helps our customers accelerate revenue for long term growth.
With Amadeus' Hotel Business Intelligence Solutions, customers unlock a complete, 360-degree view of rate, occupancy, and distribution trends with both forward-looking and historical data, as well as data from different competitive sets in their market.
The ideal candidate brings experience in developing testing strategies for data ingestion, data transformation, data aggregation, as well as traditional application testing.
Summary of the role
The Manager, Quality Assurance, leads a team accountable for the quality of the deliverables from integration test phase to deployment in production and managing the end-to-end testing for large and complex projects, products or releases.
In this role you'llDefine overall test strategy. Own the test plan for the project, product or releaseDevelop a relationship structure between the relevant levels of decision for both Amadeus and customer organizations involved in testingAccompany and support the customer during UAT for all testing mattersResponsible for the execution of brush testsResponsible for the setting of the test environment during UAT (rehearsal and training environments set-up is out of scope)Follow the results of the test campaigns performed by the Quality /test EngineersProvide the appropriate sign off for functional, non-functional and non-regression validations between each phase of the life cycle (integration, system, and acceptance)Provide the appropriate Sign-off of releasesFollow-up issues and trigger actions to ensure sustainability of the productResponsible for the monitoring of the software quality KPIs over the different testing phasesDeliver regular reports to QA, PDEF and DEV teams on the evolution of the quality along the testing phasesCommon accountabilities:
- Accountable for the budget, performance and results of a medium-sized team or multiple teams of employees. Influences the resource, budget and policy planning and sets concrete development plans for the team members.
- Has a mid/long-term vision of the activity and the business, influences the department's strategy based on a broad understanding of the environment. Exposed to complex decision making.
- Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions, escalating issues only when necessary.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
Relevant work experience:
15+ years working in the Information Technology Industry
5+ years team lead or people management
