DevOps Engineer
to join our team to help streamline our development processes and enhance our infrastructure's performance and security.As a DevOps Engineer at PharmaCord, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations teams. You will work to automate and optimize our development pipeline, implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, improve SDLC processes, and monitor system performance.A typical day in the life of a DevOps Engineer will include but not be limited to the following:Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain a high level of system availability.Implement security best practices and compliance standards across the infrastructure.Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.Ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.Develop and maintain scripts for system monitoring, performance optimization, and other administrative tasks.Experience with incorporating security scanning into the CI/CD process.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.Heavy experience with Jenkins automation software.Strong experience with DataDog, Splunk, or comparable monitoring software.Blended experience of on-prem and cloud infrastructure.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.Experience with source code management tools like Git, BitBucket, etc.Strong knowledge of networking, security, and system administration.Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Preferred Skills:Experience in guiding a company early in their DevOps journey.Experience with microservices architecture.Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.Physical Demands & Work Environment:This is a full-time exempt position.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.Ability to sit for extended periods of time.This job operates in a professional office environment.
