Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Configuration Manager. This position will be based at our Grand Rapids, MI facility. Producing electro-mechanical actuation components since 1963, our Grand Rapids facility has just under 200 employees.This is a Hybrid-Remote role (2 days work from home each week).The expected annual salary range for this role is $65,250.00 - $95,700.00 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The Configuration Data Management role is critical to execution of New Product Development (NPD) programs and Post Development Support (sustaining), requiring management of the Customer Submittal process from package preparation through submittal coordination and delivery. The candidate will be responsible for all configuration management and data management within the Grand Rapids facility for aerospace products and documentation including but not limited to hardware, firmware, software, drawings, specifications, standards, and engineering reports.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Develop, maintain and enforce configuration management and data management plans, policies, standards, directives and procedures ensuring product configuration integrity are met for engineering documents, drawings, firmware, and software through all product lifecycle phases.Organize and lead and administer change control boards with multi-department representation.Train engineering, product engineering and non-engineering staff in configuration management processes procedures, practices and policies.Apply continuous improvement to procedures and policies to improve overall efficiency and reduce errors.Develop effective configuration management systems that support the Grand Rapids product line.Support the generation, release and approval of technical artifacts.Lead configuration and data management audits and reviews with government agencies, 3rd party auditors, and customer representatives.Review Engineering documents for formatting and provide distribution notice to site.Customer Submittals - packaging/tracking e.g. cover page, DTL, ECM prep/portal access/POC (customer).CDM/CM Council ERG member, attends meetings, addresses CM process issues, and develops common process/tools across Aerospace Division. Communicates changes and impact to Grand Rapids site Engineering management. Provide training to site CM and engineering personnel, as required.Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED.Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, English, or Business OR 3+ years work experience managing a document management system.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
