Job Description:
Torch Technologies is seeking a Software Developer/Analyst to write software for simulations, scripts to process data, and develop optimizations in code for distributive and/or parallel processing in support of the Air & Missile BU. The position will require knowledge of coding and an enthusiasm for learning. Candidates should be proficient in C/C++ and understand software development, software testing, or software architecture in some capacity. Experience with system of system simulations is desired. The candidate will be required to execute existing models and simulations to support analysis against existing results. Qualified applicants will have good programming skills, be able to work independently, and take a proactive role to assure that task responsibilities are completed on schedule. The software simulation is developed using the agile process within a team where everyone is responsible for their assigned tasking.
JOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience. 2 years applicable software design engineering experience.Excellent problem-solving skills.Proficiency with C/C++, Java, or Python.Proficiency with Windows and Linux environments.Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.Excellent team player.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.2 years relevant experience.Desired experience:Modeling and Simulation architectures.DoD software development.Team-based Software Development Tools (Git, Jira, GitLab, etc.).Object-Oriented Design.Software threading and network communications.Multi-language programming.U.S. Citizenship Required for this Position:
