QUALITY ASSURANCE TEAMUnder general direction from assigned Information Technology Supervisor, possess a working technical knowledge of software development in order to perform Quality Assurance testing & analysis for the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) Office of Information Technology (OIT):Work closely with technical leads, developers, quality assurance analysts, & client subject matter experts to document detailed test plans, test scripts & write tests to verify requirements using TFS/Azure DevOps.Execute functional, integration, system, regression, Section 508, & load/performance testing using DPS approved tools.Drive quality by collaborating with development staff to identify, reproduce, resolve & retest defects; Log defects with detailed steps to reproduce.Report defects in Azure DevOps Server & follow through till resolution of the defect.Author, review, & refine acceptance criteria for user story requirements by coordinating with business users & development team.Debug & revise programs when automated tests do not produce desired results.Perform API testing implemented using RESTful & SOAP services.Run automated regression tests on demand as required by business & software development teams & report results.Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as Daily Standup meetings, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Backlog Grooming, Scrums, & team demos.Write SQL queries & analyze SQL databases (SQL Server, MySQL).Document, share & advocate best test practices & continuous process improvements.Define & document current &/or future basic user interface & business process flows.As needed, research, read, understand, & apply relevant techniques & procedures from MSDN or through communicating with peers & high-level developers to complete duties timely & efficiently.What’s in it for you:At the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans.
