Works in a variety of settings to build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for data scientists and business analysts to interpret. Their goal is to make data accessible so that organizations can use it to evaluate and optimize their performance. Designs, builds, and oversees the deployment and operation of technology architecture, solutions, and software to capture, manage, store, and utilize structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources. Establishes and builds processes and structures based on business and technical requirements to channel data from multiple inputs, route appropriately, and store using any combination of distributed (cloud) structures, local databases, and other applicable storage forms as required.
Responsibilities:
Analyzing complex queries using advanced functions and formulas in Excel.
Analyzing data in Excel to evaluate business risks.
Development of charts, graphs, histograms, etc. to analyze data elements.
Utilizing Excel formulas and techniques to quantify and analyze data from multiple sources.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a STEM Master's with 0 years of experience.
Proficient in tracking, augmenting, correcting, and improving upon Excel spreadsheets.
Strong background in MS Office Suites.
Knowledge of databases concepts, data structure, and data manipulation.
Experienced in data visualization best practices.
Strong organizational and project management skills, able to execute independently and with a small team.
Must be willing to work on-site 100% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or higher in data science, computer science, or software engineering.
Certified in Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Excel Expert.
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate.
Skilled in modern programming languages (Python, SQL, etc.).
Skilled in statistical data analysis and modeling.
Experience in data visualizations using MS Power BI and Tableau.
Salary Range:
$83,300 - $124,000
