DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Mission Assessments Engineer to provide mission analysis support to legacy, current, and future satellite programs. This position is located in Chantilly, Virginia and requires a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.In this role, you will support constellation design and planning studies, requirements development and verification, and compliance analyses against user requirements. Additionally, you will provide programmatic support directly to Government leads. Limited travel may be required.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Support development of models and simulations to predict expected mission performance against requirements.Support development of detailed test objectives, plans, and success criteria to support analysis objectives.Conduct engineering analysis in support of system impact assessments and evaluation of results for complex aerospace systems.Work with multiple teams and stakeholders in the development of analysis plans, analyzing data and reporting results.Coordinate system level analysis across the enterprise.Help the customer establish priorities and engage with various internal and external stakeholders to include senior executive officials, military officers, development contractors, and end users.Develop briefings and assessments to a variety of audiences and must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner to customer leadership.QualificationsActive TS/SCI with Polygraph.Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar technical field such as Communications, Astronautics or Aerospace Engineering with 5 years of experience.Experience in the analysis of data from space system components with the ability to conduct performance analysis and other technical assessments of the data.Familiarity with signal processing, digital communications, and RF theory.Knowledge and proficiency in conducting engineering analysis and modeling using tools such as Python, MATLAB Simulink, Satellite Tool Kit (STK), Excel, and other standard analysis tools.Ability to clearly and concisely present analysis data.Modeling and Simulation.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Masters of Science Degree in Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar technical field such as Communications, Astronautics or Aerospace Engineering with 3 years of experience.Knowledge of RF antennas and receivers.Experience in modeling RF systems.Understanding of space systems, design, integration, test, and operations.Proven ability to work effectively with large team of Government, FFRDC, and SETA contractors as well as with major development contractors.Demonstrated ability to convey complex technical issues concisely to management.
