General Job Description:St. Anne's Episcopal School (SAES) seeks a dedicated Technology Integration Specialist (TIS). The TIS is focused on teacher support and training, providing real-time IT and AV help and collaborating with teachers to successfully integrate technology across the Primary, Lower, and Middle School grade levels.In this capacity, the TIS’s primary roles are (1) to ensure teachers have uninterrupted access to necessary instructional technology, (2) to provide training and support that helps teachers extend their instructional effectiveness using technology, (3) to assist the Director of Technology (DOT) in the evaluation and adoption of educational software, systems, and hardware.The goals for the TIS are to spend 80% of the day in classrooms and support our DOT with managing helpdesk tickets. The other 20% is spent in preparing and teaching Middle School Computer Science classes.Primary Responsibilities:Develop and deliver Professional Development based on Teachers' needs. Collaborate with Teachers and Academic Leaders on the direction of Educational Technology and the specific areas of use. This will include SeeSaw, Google Workspace, AI platforms, all educational apps and software currently used in the curriculum and any future EdTech platforms, software/apps or systems adopted at SAES. This also includes technology being used by teachers that is specific to their curriculum/classroom lessons. The TIS should take initiative by observing the areas of need and using collaboration skills to accomplish the above goals.The TIS is expected to spend time in Classrooms giving assistance and support with technology-infused lessons. This is an ongoing method of one-on-one professional development and training in the use and integration of technology.The TIS gives Tier 1 tech support as assigned through the ticketing system by the DOT. This position reports to the DOT and assists the DOT as needed.Collaboration with Division Heads and with the Director of Technology: Meet weekly with the DOT to collaborate on Tech Support issues. Act as a resource for the DOT on Educational Technology needs. Meet with the Division Heads as needed to collaborate on Educational Technology issues.Meet with the Middle School Division Head and/or the Dean of Students as needed for matters relating to teaching Computer Science classes.Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new Educational Technology systems and software.Due to the constantly changing and evolving nature of technology, there may be other goals/expectations that arise.This is a 12-month salaried position. The duties of this position can usually be successfully completed in a 40 hour work week. However, there may be occasional tasks and/or meetings that are scheduled outside of normal working hours.Additional Responsibilities:Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree requiredBroad experience and proficiency with instructional technologyTeaching experience requiredWorks efficiently in an environment where multiple projects and responsibilities are the normTechnical Skills:Fluency with MDM for iPads (preferably Mosyle), ChromeOS, Google Workspace, Apple TV, Microsoft PCs – Windows 11, HP, Dell, Lenovo and Acer Chromebooks, Smart Interactive Display boards –
