Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop design plans for a variety of transportation improvement projects utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation SoftwareComplete design reports and calculations for bridge design tasksDevelop construction cost estimates and project specific specificationsCoordinate with all applicable regulatory agencies and utilitiesComplete assignments independently with minimal supervisionCollaborate with staff within the transportation group and across various other disciplines on larger projectsDelegate tasks to staff engineers and monitor their workAssist the Project Manager in the development and monitoring of the project schedule, budget, and staffing needsActively participate in client contact and communicationsWork with management on proposals and business development as neededPerform construction inspection of Contractor’s workAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsWhat We Are Looking ForRequired Qualifications4+ years of related work experience in transportation engineeringEIT required, PE (or ability to obtain within 1 year)Proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation design softwareFamiliar with NJDOT / AASHTO / NJTA design standards and guidelinesHighly motivated and eager to work on a diverse range of transportation improvement projects for local, county, and state agenciesWillingness to represent FPA at professional societies and technical seminarsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience should include the design of transportation improvement project in New Jersey.Valid driver’s licenseCompensation and Benefits:As a valued member of our team, we provide you with a flexible benefits package that reflects our respect for your workplace contributions, professional goals, and personal priorities.
