What You'll DoThis position leads the Docusign Vulnerability and Attack Surface Management Team protecting Docusign’s environments, customers, and employees by driving infrastructure attack surface reduction. Docusign’s vulnerability management program is responsible for the detection, assessment, and remediation of vulnerabilities across the enterprise, a crucial component of our security ecosystem. A strong leader for this team brings domain expertise in vulnerability management, experience in designing and executing on long-term strategy, and a passion for guiding individuals in their career growth. The Senior Manager of Vulnerability Management has a direct responsibility to build and innovate on the program’s strategy and processes, and evolve a team of highly technical security engineers tasked with planning, building, operating, and maturing our core services. This position partners cross-functionally with leaders and business partners across Docusign to drive down risk and threats to the environment. The ideal candidate is someone with a solid understanding of technology, vulnerabilities, networking, and system implementations as well as automated patching and resolution.
This position is a people manager role reporting to the Vice President of Security Assurance.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic and technical leadership on the assessment and evolution of current vulnerability management programs and services.
Own the vision, develop the strategy, and execute on the plan to run a VM program at scale. Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine the OKRs aligned to our security and company strategy.
Strive to continuously measure and improve current vulnerability assessment operational excellence in coverage, depth, and quality.
Drive cross-organizational efforts to remediate prioritized vulnerabilities in a timely manner, sharing best practices to augment processes and engagement to strengthen security culture.
Attract and grow great talent in the vulnerability management space.
Ensure efficacy of the capabilities, measure quality and work with partner teams to automate for faster resolution.
Act as technical escalation point for VM both internally and externally.
Research and assess the threat landscape as it relates to risks, with strong ability to communicate at a variety of levels (technical, business, risk).
Synthesize new industry, security, and regulatory changes, best practices, and requirements, refining program strategy to be “future-forward.”
Job DesignationRemote:
Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.
Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.
What You BringBasic
8+ years of industry experience.
5+ years in a vulnerability management program or similar security function; 2+ years leading engineering or security teams.
Experience with securing cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP).
Background in or experience with infrastructure deployment and management (e.g. Network, Systems).
Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across all levels.
ITSM knowledge.
Preferred
Data and quality outcome driven.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Demonstrated knowledge of networking and systems, and current vulnerability and threat trends.
Demonstrated background in deploying, owning, and configuring enterprise level security tools/technology.
Experience scaling an enterprise vulnerability program across multiple environments, driving owner accountability and prioritization.
Demonstrated success in driving simplification and operational excellence of complex capabilities.
Experience improving vulnerability prioritization models.
Desire to reduce friction with a focus on customer experience.
Proven ability to adapt, learn, and take on problems with little oversight.
Strong sense of ownership and desire to improve capabilities.
Proven experience of being a technical mentor.
Ability to think critically and drive progress despite ambiguity or rapid change.
Certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
Experience with multiple compliance standards, such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, FedRAMP, and Dod-IL4.
DevOps and development experience.
Wage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $171,500.00 - $277,025.00 base salary.
Illinois and Colorado: $164,800.00 - $232,750.00 base salary.
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $164,800.00 - $242,225.00 base salary.
Washington DC: $171,500.00 - $242,225.00 base salary.
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
