Description
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing technology solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budget. Define project deliverables and milestones.Execution: Lead project execution, coordinating tasks, managing resources, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing issues proactively to ensure project success.Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources, including team members and budgets, to ensure project objectives are met.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, status reports, and post-project reviews.Quality Assurance: Ensure that IT solutions are delivered according to specifications and meet the company’s quality standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects successfully.Project Management Skills: Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and experience applying them in practice.Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and software development processes.Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders and project teams.Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Certifications: Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are required.Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Education: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with experience managing large-scale IT projects or programs.Advanced Skills: Expertise in advanced project management tools and techniques, including Agile and Scrum methodologies.Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.Certifications: Advanced certifications in project management (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)).Industry Experience: Experience in aerospace or technology sectors, particularly with applications related to space exploration or satellite systems.ITAR Requirements:This position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
