www.mtsi-va.com .Responsibilities:MTSI is seeking engineers to support M&S development for the DIA/MSIC ITASE program. The candidate will design, develop, improve and maintain M&S models and simulations in support of the ITASE distributed simulation architecture.Day-to-Day Duties:

Candidate will develop, implement, and maintain ITASE M&S models and simulations, including procedures and work instructions. Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to sustain and improve the software development environment. Candidate will be expected to coordinate with ITASE simulation architecture, model, and tool developers to ensure quality in delivered products. Candidate will support SCM Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities as necessary to maintain configuration control of software changes. Participation in various TIMs is expected as well as periodic coordination with the ITASE PMO.Developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting bug fixes (site reports) in C++ plugin based C4 modelsSupporting intelligence based C4 model updates (new features)Supporting model communication with other assets through ITASE messages in a distributed system architectureC++ development in a Windows environment with providing some light support to LinuxUpdating code in GitLab (Git-based version control)Working on base at Redstone Arsenal in the MSIC labsSupporting V&V team questions and analysis studies, and creating/updating system description documentationBriefing government leads on model issues or statuses at the Configuration Control Board (CCB) and task status meetingsQualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, math, or computer science and3-10 years of applicable experience is required.Demonstrated understanding of Software development processes, procedures, and software tools.Good data analysis, documentation and organization skills are required.Good communication skills, both written and oral, are needed.Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision and willingness to work as an integrated team.Experience with automated build and automated test is desired. Some knowledge of C++, Python and MATLAB is beneficial.Please Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for most MTSI positions.
