Hybrid Role (Partially Onsite-Partially Remote): We are currently seeking a Full-Time Revenue Cycle Applications Manager to join our Epic Department at the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health. Hybrid office locations in Ada, OK and Plano, TX.
Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Application Manager directly manages to implement, optimize, and support the Department of Health's Epic revenue cycle applications. The Revenue Cycle Application Manager directly manages the Revenue Cycle Applications teams. They ensure system functionality is designed and delivered to support clinical, business, and information needs. The Revenue Cycle Application Manager engages key clinical and operational stakeholders to align Information Technology resources to support the organization's goals and objectives. They partner with clinical, revenue cycle, and operational support staff to develop, implement, and maintain software solutions to support optimal care delivery and healthcare operations. They also provide information technology operational leadership and support for business and clinical functions. They work closely with the other Application Managers and operational teams to identify changes required in the current workflow, system design, build, and long-term support. They communicate the identified changes required in the current workflow, system design-build, and long-term support into functional solutions within the Revenue Cycle Application teams. They manage and support these efforts by tracking metrics and outcomes. The Revenue Cycle Application Manager elevates team members' thinking and understanding by infusing best practice knowledge into the work. They manage the selection, development, and coaching of team members.
Responsibilities:
Directly manages and guides the Revenue Cycle Application Analysts team in the application and upgrades.Manages multiple Epic environments and ensuring that they are maintained.Collaborates to achieve technology operations of a state-wide technology network, including electronic health records, population health, healthcare analytics, and business intelligence systems to advance the goals.Serves as relationship manager for information technology software vendors.Participates in the procurement process for information technology vendors, managed service providers, and equipment. Provides procurement recommendations.Consults with the other Applications Managers and advanced leadership to drive optimization and performance of healthcare technology systems, e.g., EHR, analytics, and business intelligence.Collaborates to provide technical leadership for the implementation and support of software applications, enhancements, and modifications for legacy systems and in scoping, implementation planning, and conversion to new systems.Works with the Environment and Release Manager to develop a strategy for implementing regular upgrades and maintenance of Epic systems.Manages the implementation of new workflow and/or application systems within the institution and ensures delivery of products that enable business value.Assesses departmental needs regarding workflow and technology recommendations to operational leadership for implementing new processes/systems or expanding current processes/systems.Monitors group portfolio of projects; works with the Inpatient Applications Analysts teams to identify and resolve risks and issues.Participate in regional and national Epic User Groups to share best practices and collaborate on new and enhanced products.Serve as a member of the leadership team, providing input on overall strategic direction of the institution and serves on various committees.Prepares and recommends short-term and long-term goals and objectives for information technology development and support functions and in support of the comprehensive healthcare data and technology strategy.Facilitates and conducts scheduled meetings as needed.Assigns, reviews, monitors and ensures performance of assigned staff for area of responsibility.Participates in candidate selection process.Assigns tasks and responsibilities of assigned staff.Reviews and documents work effectiveness of assigned staff.Coaches and corrects assigned staff through performance deficiencies.Observes and documents work behaviors of assigned staff.Ensures cooperative and respectful work relationship of assigned staff including interpersonal training and resolving internal issues.Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities.Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development.All other duties as assigned.
Competencies:Essential:Follow instructions, written or oral.Adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements.Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability.Read, understand and apply regulations and policies.Understanding of health care industry service delivery processes, preferably in a multi-facility health system.Understand the business needs and workflow of the multiple operations of the hospital, ambulatory, ancillary, revenue cycle, and technical services to deliver Epic.Knowledge of revenue cycle billing, hospital billing, professional billing, and claims processing operations and workflows.Knowledge of health information management operations and processes.Relates problems and translates understandable solutions.Communicates verbally with team, departments, guests and management.
Skills:Essential:Intermediate skill using Microsoft Office for many purposes.
Experience:Essential:5 years directly related management experience.A minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
Education:Essential:Bachelors Degree in directly related field.
Nonessential:Masters Degree in directly related field.
Credentials:Essential:Pass general background check.Standard Driver's License.Completion of the Sphinx Assessment.Epic module certification as assigned.
