This position is a part of the Atlas Graduate Program. Through this program, you will receive 12 months of technical and non-technical training, mentorship from Siemens EDA executives and world-class engineers, and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving software challenges in the area of electronic design automation.
Responsibilities:
You will be part of a team responsible for testing, debugging and qualifying software releases and updates. Quality assurance responsibilities will involve the design, development, and execution of functional and regression tests used to measure correctness, robustness, performance, and overall quality. You will collaborate with senior software engineers, quality assurance specialists, marketing, and customer support professionals to help deliver timely product releases that meet our customer’s needs. You will be challenged to break away from conventional methods of testing and to think both like an electrical engineer and a software engineer.
Required Skills:
Technical degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related discipline.
0-1 years in SW Quality Assurance with solid programming skills.
Extensive Linux or Unix operating system experience.
Shell Scripting experience (e.g., bash, ksh).
Familiar with using defect tracking systems.
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
Practical experience with source code control tools (e.g., GIT, Perforce, Subversion, CVS, etc.).
Some knowledge of IC manufacturing process flows.
Some knowledge of the IC physical design, layout, and verification processes and tools.
Desired Skills:
Exposure to CAD/CAE environments such as EDA verification tools like DRC, LVS, Parasitic Extraction, and netlisting tools.
Experience developing or testing products written in an object-oriented language.
Knowledge of the Python language.
Some experience writing Tcl code a plus.

The hourly range for this position is $51.92 to $61.54 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
