This position is a lead role for a small, growing Electrical Engineering team and will have a direct impact on talent retention within the company. Technical responsibility for completing design activities on time and within budget. Develop, analyze, document and support integration of radar systems, subsystems, or components. Must possess the ability to complete a technical project independently; mentor and coach other engineers; and work with production staff to coordinate resolution of technical issues.Primary & Essential Accountabilities
Ability to lead effectively when faced with ambiguityAbility to hold and maintain a DoD Secret level clearanceServe as a mentor for early career coworkers; Communicate clear expectations as an Electrical Lead for EE TeamSignificant experience in CCA and Electrical Subassembly Design.Experience with designing form, fit, function replacement for Obsolete Assemblies preferred.Attend appropriate engineering, customer, and business meetings as a representative of DRS Naval ElectronicsProvide budget, cost, and schedule input (BOE - basis of estimate) in support of new business pursuitsDrive technical problem resolution and completion of activity on time and budgetHigh competency in mixed signal circuit designMust be cognizant of embedded software and firmware design processesLead integration effort including risk estimation, debugging activity and monthly progress reportingSupport program DFx requirements (design for cost, design for test, design for manufacture, etc)Champion risk burn-down activity and work with PM to manage effective MR spendCommunicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customerInteract with technical management, other professionals, technicians, and support personnel to coordinate, recommend, and confer regarding technical activities and progressSupport, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationDesired Additional Skills

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with a
minimum of 14 years of experienceMastery of technologies and domain knowledgeExpected to have knowledge and significant experience in multiple engineering disciplinesSpecific activities may include:Participate significantly in preparation of complex small and large proposalsAct as technical point of contact in new business pursuit activitiesPerform Statistical Analyses for root cause determination and process improvementMentor and coach other engineers.Provide technical expertise and assistance to other engineers and support personnelProduct Development:
Lead the design, development, modification and analysis of mixed-signal circuit card assemblies. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing processes or products and make modifications and improvements as needed. Compile and evaluate process or product design and test data. Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes. Working knowledge of statistical techniques in process development such as Design of Experiments and SPC.RF Integration: Lead design, build, and test of cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal systems including as amplifiers, filters, mixers, DACs and ADCs. Contribute to RF requirements analysis, definition, and management. Conduct functional analysis, performance analysis (e.g., Instantaneous Dynamic Range, Noise Figure, Pass Band Response, etc.), interface analysis, and definition for the design, integration, and verification of RF components, equipment, and systems.System Design:
Perform analysis, design, development, and integration of new and / or existing systems / sub-systems. May include Architectural Design ,
Requirements Engineering, or others. Determine system specifications. Support acquisition of hardware and software (or subcontractor services as needed).Test:
Oversee design and development of test programs to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services. Write test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluates the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications. Debug test hardware and software.Verification:
Involved with the verification and validation of new and / or existing systems / sub-systems. Includes test planning, procedure development, and test execution to verify product design or validate functional operation in the intended environment. Includes documentation of results for use in formal reports. May include development of test hardware and software.
