This role supports PST’s four division leads and its 80+ cost center managers with budgeting, forecasting, accounting / finance, manpower tracking, capital investment along with SAP, and other corporate tasks. The Assistant Manager manages a team of four associates and temps to achieve 100% of targeted spend and investment. The team is expected to track and calculate ROI, IRR and ROS for all activities within Parts, Service, Planning & Customer Relations and Technical divisions. Parts, Service and Technical division, the Finance and Administration department is responsible for all tracking, monitoring and reporting of financial matters for the operations.
With over $800M in inventory and over $4B in annual sales, there are a multitude of financials that are monitored on a daily basis.Manage P,S & T operations’ budget, finances, capital expenditures, shopping carts, impacts to P&L to level one tree objectives relating to Parts profitability of $1.1B and ROS through meticulous management / tracking of details / calculations of IRR/ROI/NPV/ P&L items etc. Trains and provides guidance to Financial Analyst and Sr. Financial Analyst on their deadlines to achieve monthly reporting deadlines.
Key Accountabilities
Meet on-going accounting close cycles (accruals, billings and adjustments) expense request, budget and forecast deadlinesCalculate, verify shopping cart charts used to gain approval from BUH’s & Div Heads; AVP and SVP will use to ultimately present and gain CEO’s approvalDirect completion of monthly management reports which include corporate, and internal management reportsBudget preparation of divisional expenses throughout the fiscal year for each forecastSupport 80 cost center managers in budget (on-going), purchase requisitions., and other finance and admin related activities (Parts, Service, Planning & CR, Technical divisions)Ad-hoc research and reporting that impacts the Parts P&LList of some of the deliverables: (Monthly closing of the books, divisional expenses (internal budget reports) variance and fluctuation analysis, shopping cart charts / analysis,
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Bus Admin / Accounting / Finance & or related fields such as operations management or math; or MBA PreferredMinimum of 5-8 years of experience in a global / international company with experience and knowledge in Warehousing; distribution; logistics; dealership; service operations; strategic planning & / or customer relations3+ years related supervisory experience in Logistics operations, Pricing, Strategy, Financial Planning, Accounting or related fieldExperience evaluating existing processes and recommending enhancementsExcellent Excel and PowerPoint skills (pivot table; advanced modelling skills)Database query and parts specific knowledge3+ years of Parts, Service, CR, Strategy and / or Technical business ops experiencePlanning & organizing with results orientation focusStrong written and oral communication, analytical and interpersonal skills requiredHandle deadlines and work independently (self-starter)Workstyle
