Join our team and start your journey today!**Job Description**If you are a **Commodity Manager** professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an opening for you! Based in our **Sidney, Ohio** location, you will develop and lead sourcing strategies for Direct Material Commodities in a global environment. You will also support supply chain initiatives which include cost containment, regionalization, trade working capital improvement, timely delivery, and quality while clearly communicating strategies to large groups.**As a Commodity Manager, you will:**+ Develop and implement a Direct Material sourcing strategy to improve flexibility and supply assurance+ Forecast containment and inflation projects for current and future years.+ Establish goals to improve trade working capital with increased payment terms, lower inventory, and shorter lead times.+ Develop a capacity and regionalization plan for each part of the commodity.+ Establish agreements with suppliers.+ Perform electronic sourcing bid events.+ Collaborate with Supplier Quality to improve supplier performance (PPM).+ Communicate, lead meetings, and create professional presentations to share strategies+ Onsite full time during onboarding period - first 3- 6months**Required Education, Experience & Skills:**+ Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or related field.+ Two (2) year of experience in a Procurement function or related experience including co-op/internship experience+ Strong project management skills. A strategic-orientated individual that achieves timely results.+ Ability to review processes and provide feedback on how to improve the processes.+ Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets and charts+ Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position**Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:**+ Masters' Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.+ Four (4) years of experience in a Procurement function or related experience.+ Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Commodity Management+ Developing & Sourcing suppliers in Mechanical Components+ Prior experience leading a commodity, team, or large scope project.+ Technically proficient to read blueprints**Flexible Work Schedule Hybrid Work Option and Core Hours**This role has the flexibility of a hybird work option of work from home up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
