JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Provides leadership that promotes the school nutrition program and creates an interest in the roleof the school foodservice program in the school and community- Analyzes the market environment to identify strengths, weaknesses, and target audience throughuse of student survey, taste tests, plate waste studies, and stakeholder input- Develops targeted and compelling messages and assists cafeteria managers with implementationof marketing plans and promotions to promote a positive image of the school nutrition program-Maintain all Bartow County School Nutrition web data and social media for the department toinclude all required messaging about the program, marketing menus, weekly program updates, etc.- Oversees implementation and updates of Wellness Policy for district- Serves as liaison to local wellness groups- Provide assistance and/or trianing for school activities to promote school nutrition and wellnessmessage- Generates wellness communications for online and printed materials- Coordinates marketing efforts with menu planning- Works with all Bartow County staff to promote wellness events, Farm to School, nutritioneducation, etc.- Oversees, develop, and implement a comprehensive nutrition education program using schoolcafeterias as learning laboratories.- Establishes role of the SNP as a resource for expertise in the development and presentation ofnutrition education materials and activities- Writes proposals for grants and oversee the implementation of projects funded by grants obtained- Completes nominations and applications for state and national recognition, such as GADOEawards, USDA awards, Farm to School awards, professional affiliation awards, etc. for progam- Identifies nutrition resources to enhance menu planning and nutrition education.- Completes rebate process to assist in obtaining menu promotion supplies- Develops and maintains strategic industry and community partnerships• Oversees the coordination of installation, upgrades, and maintenance of SNP software programs• Assists school site SN Managers in solving any difficulties with software or connection issues between sites.• Maintains and updates product specifications in SN software within required timelines• Updates SN software to reflect new product information prior to order cycles• Provides training to SN staff on upgrades and/or software programs and/or use of computer equipment and assist users of School Nutrition software

Preferred:Bachelor's Degree in related fieldThree or more years of work experience in marketing, communication, wellness and/or nutrition education, and/or farm to schoolKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilitiesAbility to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issuesMust be able to collaborate effectively with District personnel, the general public, and work with diverse groups of peopleMust be able to collaborate effectively with District and school personnel, the general public, and work with diverse groups of peopleProficient computer skills including Excel, Word, Power Point and MS Outlook, and all social media platformsExcellent communication skills both written and verbalExcellent organizational and leadership skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:• Regular sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and/or kneeling• Lifting and/or moving items up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds• Pushing, pulling and/or reaching overhead
