What you will be doing
As a Sanitation Lead at our facility, you'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. In this role, you'll lead a team, implement rigorous cleaning schedules, and ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP standards. Main responsibilities
Lead and supervise the sanitation team, providing training on cleaning processes, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP sanitation standards.
Conduct inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness and identify potential contamination risks.
Document sanitation activities, maintaining logs, reports, and records for audits and internal reviews.
Manage proper handling, usage, and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to coordinate sanitation efforts and address concerns.
Conduct corrective actions for any sanitation deficiencies, ensuring prompt response to identified issues.
Oversee inventory of cleaning supplies, PPE, and equipment to ensure sanitation readiness.
Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring sanitation protocols meet all standards.
Continuously evaluate and improve sanitation processes for plant hygiene, safety, and efficiency.
Address and troubleshoot any sanitation-related issues promptly, coordinating with maintenance as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to protect employees and products.
What we are searching for
Prior experience in sanitation within a food production facility, preferably in pasta or salsa manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP standards.
Leadership skills with experience supervising and training a sanitation team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams effectively.
Knowledge of proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
Commitment to health, safety, and compliance in all sanitation practices.
