Position Purpose: The Contracts Administrator II will prepare, review, and administer customer requests for proposals and contract documents relating to projects. You will oversee a portfolio of contracts that include US Government contracts and domestic and international commercial contracts. The successful candidate will interface with customers during the pursuit of new business and contract execution phases. This role advises program management and business partners in carrying out the terms of the contract, offering solutions to mitigate contractual/program risks and may work with the customer and senior contracts personnel to drive contractual issues to closure. This position requires the ability to multi-task while working in a challenging fast-paced environment.

Review customer requests for proposals, identify proposal requirements, review terms and conditions, assist in proposal development and participate in securing required management approval for submittal of proposals to customersWork with senior contracts personnel and subject matter experts as needed to review, redline, and negotiate complex contracts and contractual terms and conditionsMaintain contract file throughout the contract lifecycleDraft complex letters that communicate a business position effectivelyEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures, government specifications, and other requirements, communicating and coordinating with quality, supply chain, and other functional areas as neededInterpret and ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable regulations.Timely communication of contract information and issue resolution with appropriate partiesInterface with internal/external customers on contractual mattersWork with a variety of customers, including international, DoD, NASA, and federal agency customersServe as a liaison with outside agencies, other funding sources, as well as the internal management, corporate attorneys, and other BCT personnelWork closely with accounting, program management, and other personnel to resolve issues related to contract provisionsOther responsibilities as assignedRequired Qualifications/Education:
3-8 years of experience in the appropriate disciplineBachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related fieldStrong working knowledge of the FAR/DFARS and experience administering government and commercial contracts/subcontractsExperience with fixed price, cost reimbursable, award fee and incentive fee contractsAbility to manage multiple competing prioritiesExcellent organization, analytical and critical thinking skillsRelated technical experience may be considered in lieu of educationThe ability to obtain and maintain a clearance
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
