Job Title:
Facilities Project CoordinatorLocation : Agawam, MADuration : 6 months+ with possible temp to hire
Shift:
Monday through Friday 8-5 pm
Job Description:the Facilities Coordinator will coordinate site support through the performance of diverse activities related to facility services, building maintenance, and/or equipment maintenance across the operation.
Key Responsibilities:• Performs general facility support activities such as access system maintenance, moving of furniture and equipment, install and/or correct lighting fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, grounds upkeep, painting, hanging artwork and other wall displays.• May perform building or equipment maintenance tasks including the completion of work orders, scheduled routine maintenance, preventative maintenance and repairs.• Responds to facility-related emergencies as assigned.• Coordinates assigned activities with outside contractors and vendors, as needed.• Manages assigned work and follows all GMP requirements.• Provide basic maintenance and repair of plumbing systems as directed, to include repair of leaking fixtures, unclogging drains• Troubleshoot, maintain and perform basic repair of minor building electrical problems, such as changing lamps, ballasts, fixtures, switches, outlets and conduit bending• Fabricate or repair machine tools and industrial machines• Assemble and test operate machines to verify correction of malfunction• Proven ability to manage own safety and maintain a safe working environment
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:• High School diploma or equivalent formal academic / vocational qualification• Previous experience that provides the
knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 1-2 years).• Strong verbal and written communication skills• May require understanding of
building and maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and construction codes• May require thorough knowledge of
shipping
service operations and software such as
FedEx, UPS, etc.• Good understanding of
security systems• Proficient familiarity with and use of all hand tools and power tools• Knowledge of doors/hardware (locksets, door closures, frames)• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals• Ability to handle heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required• Ability to operate a forklift• Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours.• Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency
