Charles R. Drew University is located in the Watts-Willowbrook area of south Los Angeles and was founded in 1966 in the wake of the Watts uprising. CDU was founded to address inadequate medical care in the region and to provide equitable medical education opportunities for under-represented students.

CDU offers the only historically black Doctor of Medicine program west of the Mississippi, and is strongly invested in the local and regional community. The university leads multiple partnerships and programs to provide equitable healthcare resources in a variety of south Los Angeles neighborhoods.

Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of logistical and administrative functions of the BSN Pathways and the ELM Program including grants administration, meeting logistics, office communications, personnel onboarding, records management, and HIPAA compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Contribute to the design and implementation of the strategic direction of the BSN Pathways/ELM Program and the facilitation of the implementation of this direction. This includes participating in leadership discussions to ensure alignment with the organization's mission, vision, goals, and objectives.Develop comprehensive plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.Establishing and maintaining clear communication channels with key stakeholders, including BSN Pathways/ELM Program leadership, community organizations, and healthcare providers. Identify and engage key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure their needs and expectations are met. Collaborates with partners to ensure that special events publicize the organization and its programs to the community and support its goals.Monitors program operations for quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. Makes day-to-day decisions for the BSN Pathways/ELM Program core team.Manage workflow across core teams as it pertains to the efficient and timely completion of the BSN Pathways/ELM Program outcomes and expectation. This includes assigning responsibilities and facilitating cross-core communication to ensure successful project execution.Identify potential risks and issues within the program, communicate those in a timely way to the Principal Investigator, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.Managing the grant and contract process and monitoring recipients’ progress and objectives. Implements a fundraising and development strategy to identify potential donors or funding sources and conduct outreach initiatives.Monitor and ensure the quality of deliverables, adhering to industry standards and best practices including but not exclusive to HIPAA, OSHA, and COVID-19 Standard Safety Precautions. Utilizes client relationship management (CRM) or another system to organize information and facilitate outreach communications, perform forecasting, and measure the performance of programs. Implements a fundraising and development strategy to identify potential donors or funding sources and conduct outreach initiatives.Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and senior leadership, providing regular updates on program progress.Implement change management strategies as needed to address shifts in program scope or objectives.Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and make data-driven decisions.Maintain comprehensive program documentation, including project plans, status reports, and lessons learned. Develop and oversee presentations and materials to support engagement and project-related information dissemination.Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in a relevant field, or equivalent experience is required.EXPERIENCE:

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the related area.Strong understanding of program management methodologies and tools.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience working with pregnant and/or parenting individuals of color, or experience working in programs that serve that population.Experience leading multi-stakeholder efforts to improve birth outcomesDemonstrated commitment to understanding and eradicating structural racial inequity; experience working in and with issues of racial equity, diversity and inclusion.Experience with qualitative research and literature reviews; ability to synthesize complex information into clear written communications.Experience working as a liaison with diverse stakeholders; ability to establish relationships easily; highly effective listener and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.SKILLS:
