Summary
Responsible for assisting Clinical Director and Senior Director of Clinical Services in the oversight of clinical and recovery services for assigned HOPE programs. Responsible for reviewing and approving clinical documentation and verifying that documents meet clinical and data validation standards. The incumbent will also assist with training and development of clinical staff members. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring services are delivered in a member centered, strengths-based approach using best practice modalities that support compliance with funding source and licensing regulations. The incumbent must have critical thinking skills, have the ability to solve problems and have good decision-making skills. Guidance and direction are provided by the Clinical Director and Senior Director of Clinical Services.
Essential DutiesAssists Clinical Director and Senior Director of Clinical Services in oversight of all aspects of assigned clinical and recovery services following the agency mission;Review and approve assessments, treatment plans, discharge documentation, and other clinical documentation for the agency in order to verify that documents meet clinical and data validation standards;Assists the Chief Operations Officer and Quality and Compliance Manager to ensure the maintenance of medical records assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with funder and licensing regulations and legal and ethical standards;Supports the Clinical Director, Center Directors, and Senior Director of Clinical Services and Member Counsel in program development, implementation and evaluation;Identifies the need for staff education and assists the Workforce Development Manager in the development of in-service training programs for HOPE staff;Provides in-service clinical trainings for HOPE staff as needed.Stays informed on best practices in the clinical field, including topics on ethics and boundaries, clinical supervision requirements, and credentialing.Stays informed on federal, state and local public behavioral health requirements, including published provider information from health plans, AHCCCS, and Arizona Department of Health Services.Acts as a liaison with other community providers and agencies serving HOPE members as needed;Promotes HOPE, Inc. as the premier Consumer Run organization to the behavioral health community and prospective funding sources;Participates in management team meetings and attend Board of Directors meetings when requested by the Chief Executive Director;Provides direct services as needed;Performs other clinical and supervisory duties as assigned.Core Competencies

Qualifications
Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related human services field or equivalent work experience.Licensed in good standing in Arizona by the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Licensing at the independent level preferred.Three years of experience in completing clinical documentation including assessments and service plans. Experience in reviewing and approving such documentation is requested.Embodies Hope, Inc.'s principles of strength based recovery model, peer intervention & wellness practices in both decision making and actions.Must have first- hand knowledge of a behavioral health condition or substance abuse issue, whether or not have received treatment or medication or identify as a family member of someone in recovery.Current and valid certification in First Aid/CPR or able to acquire same within 45 days of hire.Ability to speak and make presentations in publicDemonstrates significant professional history and knowledge of:Management, leadership and organizational skills;Oral and written communications skills;Behavioral health assessments, principles/methods of recovery, various counseling techniques, practices and methods;Special needs and characteristics of the behavioral health recipient population;Documentation standards;Judgment and initiative in conducting the necessary operations within the agency;Development of initiatives in innovative manner for effective resolution.
