Job Summary
The Group Leader is an experienced DSP responsible for the ongoing supervision of DSP Staff, and the accurate oversight and supervision of activity classrooms and individuals in their groups.
Supervision & Administration
Supervise Habilitation Specialists/DSPsImplement, adhere to and train staff on established treatment plansMaintain all required certifications (SCIP-R, AMAP, CPR, 1st AID)Maintain classroom schedulesHandle client billing information (Individual Summary Sheet)Complete daily and weekly homeroom attendance sheetsComplete monthly progress notes and recreation formsComplete daily staff responsibility sheetComplete worksite summary sheetFill out daily transportation log and mileage sheetHandle emergencies as they ariseTransportation & Communication
Transport individuals in agency vehicles as neededTransport individuals to emergency medical appointmentsMaintain communication with behavior evaluators (i.e. fill out ABC sheets, data sheets, and all required behavioral documentation)Stress communication and team work with the groupMaintain individual /family confidentialityEnsure health, safety & welfare of individualsPerform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior managementQualifications and Work Experience
High School diploma/GED required1-2 year experience working with Developmental Disability/Autism populations requiredValid Driver’s License and good driving record is highly preferredAbility to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb. items requiredPunctuality and regular attendance is expectedCommitment to company values and adherence to policies is essentialClearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s) requiredMust be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals servedAbility to run when neededBenefits
