Job Summary
Support the ongoing operations of all Family Parishes and ensure compliance of all AOD Guidelines.
Duties/Responsibilities
Negotiate all service contracts for all parish services such as, Landscaping, Snow Removal, Pest Control, HVAC Maintenance, Janitorial Services and misc repairs. Use economies of scale to leverage better price and service for all parishes.
Coordinate the ordering of all supplies used at the parishes.
Manage periodic inspections of Parish campuses and report deficiencies to the pastor. This will be the basis for recommending Capital Expenses and Major Repairs that may be required.
Evaluate all Parish operations for efficiency and make appropriate recommendations to the pastor.
Track and monitor all utility expenses and look for strategies that will reduce expenses.
Develop and maintain a Preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and systems at the Parishes.
Oversee Parish accounting operations for accuracy and timeliness of reporting to Pastor and Finance Council.
Support the various commissions at the Parishes when required.
Oversee the implementation of the annual CSA pledge drive at all Parishes.
Make periodic reports to the Moderator of the Family of Parishes on the State of Operations at the Parishes, report any concerns including Operational, Financial, Staffing, Contractor Performance, and status of any ongoing or pending Capital Projects and repairs.
Attend / coordinate any Staff Meetings at the Parishes and Family of Parishes.
Work with Family Finance Team on budgets and shared expenses.
Coordinate Parish Finance Council and Family Finance Team meetings.
Conduct initial assessment of HR issues within parishes.
Recruit, manage and train employees. Includes all aspects of performance management, job descriptions, payroll, salaries, benefits, employee issues.
If appropriate, drive commonality of employee benefits.
Evaluate compensation levels and job responsibilities to ensure equity in the Family of Parishes.
Respond to any emergencies at any of the Parishes regardless of day or time.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Moderator.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Bookkeeper, office and maintenance staff
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in Facility Management and Financial Reporting and Accounting.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree preferred. Must have completed Protecting God's Children class and submit to a background check.
Physical RequirementsProlonged sitting and working at a desk with repetitive motion working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.May involve some standing, bending, and walking.Travel Required
Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit.
