Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Administers all aspects of the employee leave of absence program, including: review and approval of leave requests, sending required notifications to employees, advising management on leave process and employee pay on leave and responding to employee leave inquiries.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Administers all aspects of the leave of absence program within Workday, including: confirming eligibility against federal and/or state guidelines, placing employees on leave or return to work, using/creating reports to monitor key leave dates.Communicates with employees and managers regarding leave rights, responsibilities and overall process including: eligibility of benefits, protected leave status, pay, health and benefits, return to work steps, sending required notifications to comply with federal and/or state guidelines, monitoring employee's leave status and follow up as needed.Documents communications as necessary. Collaborates with HR Business Partners and Work Comp on employee leave issues.Ensure employees are paid accurately based on their eligibility, including: providing direction and monitoring of PTO, floating holidays, STD benefits, advising management on proper coding in LS Time, coordinating benefits between Les Schwab's programs and state paid leave programs, coordinating with outside vendor to transition employees to LTD benefits.Works cross-functionally with HRIS, Payroll and Worker Comp on pay issues as needed.Provides assistance to HR Business Partners with other duties as needed.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Educational/Experience Requirements:
1-4 years of HR generalist experience and/or Leave Administration preferredSPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM CP certification preferredRequired Technical Skills/Knowledge:
Knowledge of FMLA/State Paid Leave and state leave laws preferredStrong knowledge of Google Suite and Workday preferredBENEFITS:
