Position Summary
The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Clinical Manager directly supervises master's level therapists, SUD care coordinators and a Peer Recovery Specialist primarily working within PrimeCare Health's Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. While collaborating with programs and roles across PrimeCare Health, this position works closely with the MAT Health Center Medical Director and Director of Behavioral Health in coordinating operations of the MAT program. Develops, maintains and reports on program evaluation metrics and ensures program fidelity. Manages operations for outreach services. Provides part time substance use disorder treatment services.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinates counseling activities for therapists under their supervision; including assigning cases, coordinating clinical supervision, managing waitlists, and organizing monthly therapist schedules.Provides supervision and oversight to SUD Care Coordinators and Peer Recovery Specialist.Directs outreach efforts to engage new and existing patients.Orients and trains new staff, as needed.Oversees and ensures staff productivity and clinical direction of treatment.Maintains a small caseload of substance use disorder and mental health treatment patients, completing assessments and interventions as indicated.Trains PrimeCare medical providers on SUD related issues to increase harm reduction knowledge and treatment in the primary care field.Regularly reviews and recommends changes in program services to meet client needs with particular emphasis on services for underserved populations.Work in coordination with administrative staff to assure accurate insurance and billing by staff.Knowledge of psychotropic and other relevant medications in the primary care setting, Evidence-Based Practices within the psychotherapy field, and maintaints commitment to a harm reduction focus.Required Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure/RegistrationMaster's degree in Social Work or PsyD in Psychology or like degree from an accredited institution.LCSW/LCPC or PsyD State of Illinois license.7-10 years post-graduate clinical work within a behavioral health setting, including some experience with substance use disorder treatment, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing.1-3 years of supervisory experience within the behavioral health environment.Understanding of the primary care clinic setting and behavioral health integration.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work in an electronic health record.Proven ability to communicate and foster effective working relationships with a diverse population of both providers and patients.

Salary
All wages are based on relevant years of experience, time since completing a master's degree in the related fields, and/or licensure. The minimum rate is the wage that a newly graduated Manager will earn.
