Geode is seeking a
Product Manager
to lead a squad of IT professionals dedicated to managing, enhancing, and driving technology capabilities supporting performance measurement, finance, and business development functions within the organization. Your unique blend of investment management domain expertise, experience engaging business partners to develop strategy, and genuine passion for delivering outcomes to users makes you the ideal fit. As the product manager/owner, you serve as the steward of the squad's mission, planning, and execution required to deliver against strategic priorities.
In the collaborative setting of an agile structure, you'll partner closely with other squad and chapter leaders, including those from engineering and QA, playing a crucial role in influencing broader strategic decisions, fostering consensus on priorities, and developing the squad's roadmap and resource needs while bringing together a team of chapter members to execute on product features. Your responsibilities will involve ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog to ensure alignment of technology deliverables with needs of the business.
This is a hybrid work environment opportunity located in Boston, Massachusetts with a weekly in-office schedule of Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with remote work availability on Mondays and Fridays.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
Bachelor's degree (or above) preferably in Finance or Information TechnologyOver 10 years of hands-on experience in investment management, ideally performance measurement and performance attribution, finance, or other related field.Demonstrated aptitude for investment management or related financial systems, and/or a background in business system analysis or IT product management.Exceptional communication and presentation skills.Strong understanding of business functions, and particularly how performance measurement and attribution relate to portfolio management and trading functions, and the overall investment process.Experience working on project and resource planning and tracking tools such as JIRA.Experience and understanding of Agile development methodologies, ideally in an investment technology or similar financial services software setting.Experience working with business stakeholders and ability to translate their needs into requirements, breaking larger strategic objectives to smaller actionable tasks from which business value can be iteratively delivered/realized.Grasp product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria.Establish and clearly communicate squad goals and priorities, both short term and long term, to stakeholders, other leaders, and squad members.Dedication to execution with a keen eye for identifying and addressing impediments.Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues independently and have a track record of building hard-working teams.Intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.Assist in the development of a product strategy, roadmap and plans for development, delivery, and support.Ability to manage of day-to-day internal and external relationships, ensuring ongoing service excellence for business partners.
