Geode Capital Management, LLC is seeking a
Test Automation Engineer
(TAE) to work within the Test Automation Team which sits within the Quality Chapter. As TAE, you will contribute to the development of a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process here at Geode. The TAE will participate in the evaluation of tools and technology for automation that best fits the organization and projects therein. The TAE will contribute to creating an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture. This role will work with the Principal Test Automation Engineer to design and develop (new or modified) test automation solutions that implement the test strategy and approach. Further, the TAE will enable the transition of testing team to become more effective by providing an ability to scale our regression testing capabilities.

This is a hybrid work environment opportunity with a weekly in-office schedule of Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with remote work availability on Mondays and Fridays.
Qualifications:
This is an individual contributor who enjoys collaborating with colleaguesStrong technical expertise and a firm understanding of computer science with practical experience building out test automation frameworks that are efficient, effective, practical, and scalableKnowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD and be able to work collaboratively with the Platform Services teamPractical experience working with the full SDLC including coding and testing standards as well as source control management, build processes, testing processesExperience with developing cloud solutions on AWS and working with containers, and CI/CD tools.Practical experience or a technical degree is necessaryTechnical Skills: Python, Java, SQL and LinuxAnalytical Skills: Prioritize overall needs of the organization or project to determine the biggest value of what can be automated.Communication Skills: Effectively collaborate with stakeholders to support the objective function of the test automation teamResponsibilities:
Contribute to the design, development, implementation, buildout, and maintenance of the test automation solutionsSpearhead, support, and influence best practices that contribute to the quality of the productServe as a member of the Automation Guild and work within the Quality Chapter's automation team to support squad and cross-squad workWork with stakeholders on prioritized test efforts by implementing automated testing solutions that achieve the automation strategy and approach for the distinct test types, initially focusing on integration testing such as ETL and API testsAim to maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the SUT or projectParticipate in and contribute to the defect management processWork cross collaboratively on CI/CD pipelinesConduct exploratory testing as needed and/or required
