LegalServices of North Florida has an opening for a new full-time Human ResourcesGeneralist role to support the expansion and growth of the firm.

Work independently and as part of a team to recruitand hire dedicated staff and support staff through the full life cycle of theiremployment.
The HumanResource Generalist will report to the Human Resources Director and play acrucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department. The initial focus willbe on recruiting, interviewing, and hiring with the overall goal to broaden theresponsibilities to additional HR functions such as performance management,learning and development, compensation/ benefits, and legal compliance. Thisposition requires a solid understanding of various HR functions, includingemployee relations, benefits administration, hiring, and performancemanagement. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver withexcellent interpersonal skills and a passion for attracting and retaining toptalent.
Key dutiesinclude:• Developand implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool ofqualified candidates.• Collaboratewith hiring managers and provide guidance throughout the hiring process.• Assistwith updating the applicant tracking system to ensure accurate and compliantrecords.• Assistwith on-boarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcomingtransition into the company.• Conductnew employee orientations and ensure all required documentation is completedaccurately.• Serveas a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidanceand resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.• Assistin the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives andprograms.• Ensurecompliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.• Assistin the development, implementation, and communication of performance criteriaand evaluation procedures.• Enhanceopportunities for continued learning and professional development of all staff• Assistwith accurate and timely payroll processing
Qualifications:• Bachelor'sdegree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (Experiencemay be substituted for education requirement on a year-to-year basis.)• Threeyears of experience with progressive responsibilities in a variety of HRfunctions, with a strong focus on recruiting and hiring.• Solidunderstanding of HR best practices and knowledge of employment laws andregulations.• Experiencewith an HRIS and applicant tracking systems.• Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.• Strongorganizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.• Abilityto handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.• High-levelof comfort with the Microsoft Office Suite and use of technology to ensureeffective work as part of a distance and local team• PHRor SHRM-CP certification is a plus.• Experiencewith law firm or non-profit organization is beneficial.
Entrylevel salary of $55,000 is negotiable, depending on experience. This is an full-time, exempt position with anexpected average of 35-40 hours a week. Comprehensive fringe benefits packageincludes:•
