Job Description
The Quality Manager position is responsible for managing all functions of the quality system and quality processes at the Salem facility. The Quality Manager is responsible for the supervision of Quality Control Inspection and Quality Assurance staff to ensure that the dimensional, material and visual characteristics of the product's design, as documented on customer's drawing, specifications, and quality standards are consistently met. The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that only products of acceptable quality are shipped to the customer.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Supervises quality staff through effective selection, training and evaluation of Quality staff membersEnforces departmental policies and procedures and ensures they are consistently followedSchedules and assigns work within the department to regulate workflow and meet required schedulesResponsible for the external Calibration program and ensuring all equipment is compliant and functionalResponsible for the Quality Management System and all policies and procedures that support the QMS including internal and external audit programsKey member of the Continuous Improvement steering committee helping to manage and guide the CI programThorough knowledge of ISO9001:2000 and AS9100A. Active member of the QMS and EHS internal audit teamEstablish and coordinate requirements for the quality information systems and reports to include cost of quality, defects, supplier quality reliability, customer complaints, first pass yield rates, and others as appropriate; ensure that the information is consistent and valid, and is used to drive quality improvementsAssist in identifying quality training needs relative to technical skill levels and trends in quality measurements, and establish programs to meet these and other training needs of the organizationConduct regular visits to major customers to review TTM quality performance, present failure analysis, and communicate root cause corrective actions. Develop and follow-up on corrective actions, communicating and working with the Operations Management Team, Engineering, Program Office and the customer where appropriate. Track customer quality problems to complete resolutionEssential Knowledge and Skills

Extensive experience and knowledge with ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and AS9100In depth knowledge of quality systems, policies and procedures and the ability to apply that knowledge towards the interpretation of customer requirementsIn depth experience working with defense industry quality requirements (i.e., DFARs, FAI, AS9100, ISO9001, DPA)Proven analytical and problem solving skills, including statistical data analysis and interpretation, as well as the ability to develop, implement, and drive improvement plans and project teams to successful completionIntermediate to expert level knowledge with Lean Manufacturing concepts and components including 5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and Poke-YokeCapable of developing and executing effective plans; identifying obstacles and countermeasures as well as communicating effectively to achieve individual and group goalsAble to juggle multiple tasks and make quality decisions without negative impact on othersExcellent computer skills, specifically Excel and PowerPointStrong background in the use and understanding of key manufacturing performance metrics.Strong communication, planning, organizational and leadership skillsAbility to work effectively with all levels of the organizationDue to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident
Education and Experience :
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Quality/Engineering field
Experience:
6+ years of experience working in a hi-tech manufacturing, engineering, or related field.
6+ years of experience in a supervisory role.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
