ASM Company, Phoenix, Arizona, United States, 85003
ASM is a leading global supplier of products, services, and materials for semiconductor processing. For more than half a century, innovation has been at the core of everything we do. Our smart, ambitious people are dedicated to creating cutting-edge solutions for the world's leading semiconductor providers. Every day we push the development of next-generation computer-chip technology, always staying a few steps ahead of what's next.
The talented, enthusiastic people at ASM are just like you: dedicated to improving people's lives and unlocking new potential. With our collaborative approach to R&D, we advance key semiconductor technologies and platforms like ALD, epitaxy, PEALD, PECVD, and vertical furnaces. And we have recently entered the promising high-growth market: silicon carbide epitaxy. Year after year, our innovations help to make chips smaller, faster, and more powerful. In fact, you will find our technology in every aspect of modern life: in AI, medical equipment, 5G, smartphones, autonomous driving, and more.
We are the world's leader in one of the fastest growing segments in the industry, Thermal Atomic Layer Deposition systems. We are also recognized as the technology leader in the fast growth Epitaxial Si deposition market and have far exceeded the growth of any of our competitors in this space. Both of these product families have constant innovation and new product releases that are occurring on a frequent basis. The business units that design these products are in located in Phoenix, AZ and represent ASM's largest R&D Center globally, which is currently being expanded into a new, state of the art, facility in Scottsdale that will enable new product manufacturing side by side with design engineering teams under 1 roof.
In this role, you will lead ASM's New Product Manufacturing Engineering team globally across all ASM products. You will be responsible to manage, hire, and lead a global team that works with design engineering throughout the design process for new products. This team further structures the product for purchasing and build, makes detailed assembly and test procedures and criteria, and ensure successful early product introduction to our customers while helping to enable the high volume manufacturing teams within ASM and into our contract manufacturing base transition products into high volumes.
This position crosses many organizational lines/levels within the company and requires exceptional communication and relationship building skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Business Units and Global NPI (New Product Introduction) engineering teams to develop NPI business processes.Work with key stakeholders to develop Variant Configurator product structures for new products.Construct and manage New Product Bills of Materials (BoM).Identify gaps in current CIP (Continuous Improvement Project) and RFK (Retro-Fit Kit) business processes and implement solutions to close these gaps.Introduce virtual analysis concepts and tools to NPI engineering during early product development phases.Lead the NPI engineering team in providing technical support for new product builds, both in-house and at supplier sites.Incorporate quality control into build and test processes to ensure new product quality.Provide leadership to cross functional NPI manufacturing team to support Lab tool / evaluation system builds.Minimum Qualifications
