JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Edwin Herr Counseling Clinic is seeking part-time doctoral-level individuals to assist in staffing Clinic operations and work in conjunction with personnel. Individuals will see that all clinic and professional guidelines are followed, provide related guidance to counselor-trainees as needed, and assist counselors during crisis assessment and interventions.
Responsibilities:
Know, understand, enforce, and be able to train students on all Clinic Policies.Monitor clinic emailMonitor supervisor fax and phone lineMonitor and Adjust Titanium, VALT, Zoom, Box systems as neededReview all incoming referral information, assign clients to counselors of best fit, and alert counselor, supervisor, instructor of assignment, and record for the clinicCrisis - Respond to crisis consultations requested by counselors according to Clinic policyProvide input to midterm and final audit to review that: All sessions have case notes; all case notes are appropriately documented, signed and organized; all informed consents are signed; and all paperwork is accounted for.Required qualifications:
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or appropriate training to perform the duties of an LPC under independently or under supervision.Experience and ability to deal with major mental health crises

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here.
