The DM Estate Staffing Team
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estate Manager to oversee the operations of multiple adjacent properties located in San Francisco. The Estate Manager will support the Chief of Staff and principals, ensuring the smooth running of the household and team management. Candidates must live within 30 minutes of San Francisco.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-focused, proactive, and capable of balancing hands-on work with team leadership. They must be observant, solution-oriented, and possess a high level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence. The role requires someone who is comfortable working within a lean team, communicating openly, and maintaining strong boundaries while remaining compassionate and empathetic. The ability to work collaboratively, avoid gossip, and manage a high volume of requests with flexibility and ease is essential.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day operations of three adjacent properties and an office space.Oversight of the existing household team.Handle staff management, including housekeeping oversight, scheduling, and team development.Offer personal service assistance as needed (e.g., arranging flowers, preparing a cup of tea, etc.), with a mindset that no task is too small.Collaborate with the Chief of Staff to create and implement household protocols, manage invoices, and ensure proper maintenance of all properties.Lead and participate in construction projects, interior design efforts, and emergency preparedness planning.Rotate on-call duties with the Chief of Staff and other team members.Maintain a casual style of service that respects the family's privacy while being attentive to their needs.Ensure all homes align with the non-toxic, green, and sustainable values of the household.Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Estate | House Manager or similar role for a high-net-worth family.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with the family, their guests, and staff when needed.Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.High level of discretion and confidentiality.Legally authorized to work in the US.Must live within 30 minutes of San Francisco - candidates outside of the area will NOT be considered.Compensation:
$175,000++ per year | depending on experience.Full benefits package
