System Administrator I

Job Description
As a System Administrator I, you will ensure the smooth operation and administration of our IT systems and networks. You will serve as a point of escalation for our IT team members, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance our IT environment's overall reliability and performance.
A successful candidate must be able to:• Administer and support operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, & MacOS.• Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.• Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting software issues.• Act as a point of escalation for the IT team for software and systems issues.• Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to implement IT projects and initiatives.• Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in IT administration.• All other duties as assigned.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:• The ability to professionally collaborate with both IT team members and end-users.• Proficient in Microsoft Entra/Azure Workspace administration.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, hardware, and various operating systems.• Strong investigative skills, with the desire to get to the root of any issues encountered.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.• On-call as needed for emergencies (i.e. critical issues with all hands required)
Qualifications:• 3-5 years of IT experience.• CompTIA Network+, Security+, A+ (not required but preferred).• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience (not required but preferred).• 1-3 years of experience with SQL Servers, VMs, and Azure Server administration.• Pay commensurate with experience.
Physical Requirements:• This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, computer work and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
