Responsibilities
As a Design Assistant, you will play an integral role on the design team by assisting with furniture selections, FF&E alternates, design coordination enrollment processes, interior design documentation, rendering feedback, and project walk throughs.
Assist the FF&E specialist with furniture selections/alternates, space planning, FF&E presentations, sample ordering and furniture installation.Assist Interior Designers with updating documentation which includes but is not limited to finish schedules, elevations, finish keys, in Revit (AutoCAD as requested).Assist Design Coordinators with project enrollment for renderings, fitness equipment, golf simulators, CCTV, access control, and common area media.Complete DCD documentation and send to project teams as requested by Design Coordination team.Attend OAC meetings, box walks, and punch walks.Respond to RFIs and submittals by their due date as requested by Design Coordination team.Review National Account VE and send for approval for implementation in CD documents.Organize design library and work with project partners to ensure the library is up to date.Travel to projects for OAC meetings, box walks, punch walks, and general project walk throughs as requested by Design team.Gather samples for material boards.All other tasks as assigned by manager.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in interior design is preferred.High school diploma or GED required1+ years Interior Design experience in Multi-family and/or Hospitality.Computer skills: Procore, Microsoft Word, Excel, One Note, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.Knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit preferred.Must be organized, detail oriented and have good time management skills.Ability to work independently and on a team.Have current knowledge of materials, finishes, furnishings, and equipment, including industry standards for selection, procurement, and installation management of such items.Have strong client, project management, and time management skills.Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with a wide range of people.Benefits & Perks
