The Role

The Sr. Director of Sales Regional & Field will be responsible for delivering Revenue, Trade, and Sales Expense targets associated with our Regional, Territory, and Distributor businesses.

This position will directly manage HQ Relationships of our Distributor Partners (including but not limited to UNFI, KeHe, and Doras), and be a people leader to the company's Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Territory Sales Representatives (TSRs).

This position will be a peer to our VP of National Sales and work closely with him/her to align relevant Sales Strategies. This position will also work closely with the company's Marketing Personnel and Field Marketing & Trade Manager to implement tactics at the Retailer level to drive velocities at respective retail accounts.

We expect this Sr. Director Sales to be highly collaborative, a strong people leader, and the "pulse on the ground" for the company's Regional/Independent Retail business Nationally.

ResponsibilitiesDeliver Revenue, Trade, and Sales Expense TargetsDeliver Revenue targets through implementation of National Sales Strategies to RSMs and TSRsDevelop Region-specific Sales Strategies to support additional Revenue growthWork with Category Management to build insightful Sales presentations that fit specifically for your Sales TeamAttend Retailer line reviews with RSMs when necessaryCoordinate with Field Marketing & Trade Manager to implement appropriate Field Marketing tacticsOwn the company's Distributor relationships at the HQ levelConduct regular Sales & Logistics reviews with Distributor partnersSupport Innovation launches by ensuring Distributor DCs have product at the appropriate timeEnsure your team has best-in-class relationships at all Distributor DCsAttend Distributor trade shows, in support of your RSMsPeople & Team LeadershipCommunicate high-level summaries w/relevant wins to the company's LTSupport the AOP process w/forecasting of future Revenue, Trade, and Sales Expense goalsHelp develop a Team/Retailer Pipeline of Independent "hunting" opportunities and associated RevenueSupport the mapping of Retailer visits w/TSRs via GoSpotCheck systemDevelop SOPs as needed to ensure internal alignment & maximize outputQualifications

7 years of advancing Food Industry Sales experience5 years of Sales Team ManagementExperience working directly w/Distributors, bonus KeHe/UNFI at HQ and DCsHigh attention to detail, ambitious, and self-startingExcellent organization and communication skillsExperience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
