The pay range for this position is $57 - $70 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.Ensure employee and the public's safety while on the railroad property.Comply with all State and Federal regulations.Comply with all safety and railroad policies, rules, and procedures Maintain training programs and schedules.Daily duties of TES O&M Working Supervisor including but are not limited to:Pre and Post shift briefings.Review Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Task Hazard Analysis (THA) with crews prior to shift start and during the shift when required.Allocate crew and equipment to fulfill daily work orders to include but not limited to:Routine and emergency maintenance of OCS components at elevations above the grade or at grade.Routine and emergency maintenance of TPS components at elevations above grade or at grade.Perform planned isolation and restoration of TES Systems to allow for scheduled maintenance or construction.Preform emergency isolation and restoration of TES Systems when required and as directed by the Power Director/TES Superintendent.Mentoring and training of TES O&M field personnelWork with crews in the daily performance of operations and maintenance.Allocate/reallocate crews as directed by the Power Director/ TES Superintendent.Coordinate equipment and special tooling/ test equipment between TES CrewsCommunicate Power Isolation and Restoration requests between TES Crews, other TASI Disciplines, contractors, and Power Dispatch.Maintain TES crew time sheets.Complete all TES Crews required paperwork and provide to the Power Director/TES Superintendent.Inspect TES Crew operations for Safety and Quality compliance.Participate in providing shift change updates between Power DispatchersRespond to emergency and routine events as directed by the Power Director/TES Superintendent or Central Control Facility.Enforce safety rules and work practices.Ensure crews follow procedures for isolation and restoration of TES power.Perform critical thinking while under operational pressure.Complete reports and logs for system events and incidents.Ensure timely train operations to achieve service goals and ensure high quality customer service.Allocate resources to undertake appropriate actions to sustain alternate service in the case of service disruptions per directive provided by the Power Director/ TES SuperintendentPrepare, present, and distribute to supervisors a clear and detailed daily record of events.Report patterns of service failures for investigation and correction.Support and model professional standards in all communications.Develop and maintain a team environment, among TES Personnel, other departments, and contractors.Gather details and photos surrounding TES operational issues and report to Power Director/ TES Superintendent and the Safety, Training & Compliance Department.Gather details and photos for TES accidents, injuries, and near misses and report to Power Director/ TES Superintendent.Operate hi-rail vehicles, bucket trucks, boom trucks.Operate test equipment, substation gear, disconnects and placement of protective grounds.Use of hand tools, power tools, saws, cable cutters, cable pullers, hoist, grips, tension meters, etc.Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog's Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalentMust have 5-years of experience at a Journeyman or Foreman level in the installation and/or operations and maintenance of OCS and/or Traction Power Substations for Light Rail, Trolley or Commuter Rail environment.Experience on commuter or intercity railroads regulated by the FRA, preferred.Must become qualified on General Code of Operating Rules (GCOR) and Electrical Operating Instructions (EOI), maintaining these qualifications at all times.Organized and able to work independently.Ability to plan and execute O&M Crews activities to meet expectations and deadlines.Ability to communicate effectively to large groups while prioritizing safety, passenger rail service, On-time performance, and the requirements of the owner.Work outdoors during all weather and environmental conditionsConsistently demonstrates deep technical skills/ knowledge when performing the duties and responsibilities of the position.Understanding of regulatory and governmental functions related to FRA, GCOR, OSHA, and CPUC General OrdersDemonstrate strong and effective communication, organizational, and time management skills.Ability to function calmly and exercise sound judgment during rapidly changing situations and crises in a fast-paced work environment.Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and coordinate multiple tasks that are time sensitive and/or urgent.Must perform tasks in the presence of distracting stimulation or under monotonous conditions without significant loss in efficiency, and make rapid, correct decisions.Must be able to stay alert over an extended period of time and respond well under pressure.Carry out assignments independent of immediate supervision.Must have the highest standards of personal integrity and commitment to task.Must be able to perform heavy physical labor.Class B CDL required. The Company provides a CDL reimbursement program and CDL may be obtained post-hire.Must have the availability to work from heights.Must possess or can obtain (within 30-days) boom truck (crane) and rigging certifications.Must be able to listen and repeat instructions verbatim.Experience in installation or operations & maintenance of Overhead Contact Systems for Trolley, Light Rail and/or Commuter Rail.Knowledge of utility systems, as well as safety procedures and practices associated with high voltage.Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and their equipment.Experience managing and responding to emergencies that occur during 24-7 operation.Experience managing multiple crews and equipment.Experience operating Bucket Trucks/Aerial Lifts, Boom Trucks (up to 20-ton) and Hi-Rail VehiclesPre-Employment Requirements:

Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.Maintain a valid driver's license and endorsements as required per position.Pass pre-employment DOT physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this positionSuccessfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.Physical Requirements:

Regularly lift up to 75 pounds of weight, up to an end height of 36 inches for a distance of up to 10 feet.Regularly lift up to 50 pounds of weight, up to an end height of 48 inches for a distance of up to 10 feet.Regularly carry weight up to 16 pounds for a distance of up to 100 feet.Regularly push/pull a force up to 25 pounds for up to eight minutes continuously.Regularly grasp/squeeze equipment or tools with a force up to 40 pounds.Regularly ascend and descend a 10 step ladder with up to 25 pounds. Frequently climb on/off equipment.Regularly ascend/descend a step with a height of 28 inches from the floor.Regularly kneel, bend, squat for extended periods of time.Regularly sit and stand for an extended period of time.Able to walk on uneven surfaces up to 1 mile.Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet).Available to work a 40 hour work week subject to overtime, on call and alternate shifts that may include weeknights, weekends and holidays.Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.Safety:
