Job Description
Assigned caseloads are limited to 5 families, spending an average of 4 hours per week with a minimum of 2 weekly contacts in person.
Enroll in Wheels of Change and complete FCT certification within 1 year of the start date.
Attends and participates in weekly team supervision meetings where cases are reviewed, and feedback is provided.
Complete and maintain all program fidelity documents, reports, and assessments in a timely manner reflecting the FCT language.
Provides intervention to families in crisis situations.
Provides FCT in-home family treatment, adhering to and ensuring fidelity to the FCT model.
Ability to prioritize cases for multiple clients.
Serves as liaison with DCF, courts, schools, other providers, and community.
Complete and maintain all program fidelity documents in a timely manner.
Completes reports for court and attends when needed.
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferred in social or Family Services, e.g. Social. Work, Psychology or Sociology.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass a drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry. Clearance Check, an Adult Registry check, and a FBI Fingerprint check.
Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
Mandated Reporter, ability to monitor safety and address safety concerns.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of child and adolescent development and family systems.
Ability to collaborate with families, friends and other agencies.
Ability to work with all cultures, use culturally competent model.
Flexible to changing situations, ability to work evenings and weekend if needed by the family.
Able to solve problems and make independent judgments to effect change, but also able and willing to seek assistance when necessary.
Works alone effectively, self-motivated, works effectively with others and ability to receive feedback.
Understands and practices Universal Precautions.
Ability to travel and provide in-home services.
Home based office option when not in sessions with families.
