Key duties and responsibilities include:ProductionScheduling: Ensuring that production processes stay within budgets anddeadlines.Productivity:Monitoring the efficiency of manufacturing equipment and tools, andsetting productivity goals to increase efficiency while reducing costs.ResourceManagement: Ensuring there are enough resources, such as workforce andraw materials, to meet production goals.SafetyManagement: Enforcing safety standards to keep the workplaceaccident-free. This position requires an OSHA Certification and ForkliftCertification.Communication:Regularly updating upper management on production issues and progress.PerformanceEvaluation: Assessing the performance of production personnel andmachinery to ensure minimal downtime.EquipmentMaintenance: Supervising the department tasked with maintainingproduction equipment, ensuring timely repairs and minimizing downtime.ResponsibilitiesPlan,direct, and coordinate the manufacturing of products in compliance withcustomer contractual requirements.Overseethe allocation of personnel, material, and equipment resources to meetproduction schedules.Manageproduction planning and scheduling.Maximizethe efficiency of production lines and ensure effective employmentutilization.Forecastoperating costs and direct the preparation of budget requests.Developand motivate cost-effective alternatives and improvements to theproduction process.Maintainemployee safety by creating a safe and efficient working environment.Organizeand direct workflow to satisfy production requirements cost-efficiently.Workclosely with all departments (Sales, Contracts, Purchasing, ProcessEngineering, Quality, and Test) to analyze and resolve major process andquality issues.Supportplant layout, facility planning, and other assigned projects.Performanalysis of manufacturing materials and determine optimum control levels.Interactwith customers, including visits, tours, and feedback requests.Otherduties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManage1 - 5 direct exempt supervisory employees.Manage 40 - 50 indirect subordinate employees in the production department.Carryout supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization'spolicies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, trainingemployees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraisingperformance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaintsand resolving problems.QualificationsAssociate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, with five years of related experience in manufacturing operations, to include roles in process improvement and/or leadership, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electronics manufacturing and/or printed circuit board assembly experience preferred, to include new product introduction (NPI) and volume production environments.Bachelor's degree is preferred.Ideal candidates possess strong leadership and motivational skills, in addition to excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
