Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities:Report directly to the Director of Occupational Health Services (OHS)Perform health assessments including medical history, physical examination, ordering required laboratory, x-ray and other diagnostic tests.Review historical laboratory documentation, other health documentation and appropriate disposition of clients for pre-employment, annual, return from medical leave, injury, illness, exposure to blood borne pathogen, exposure to tuberculosis, exposure to other infections agents or chemical exposure.Administer medications and vaccination according to protocol.Health education and health advocacy for hospital workers, including identification of and collaboration to reduce health and safety hazards in the workplace.Timely handwritten documentation in EPIC and completion on all required written paper forms.Collaborate with Nursing, Medical, Human Resources and other staff as required with compliance of all statutory, corporate and hospital requirements.Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or designee. Minimum Qualifications1. A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse issued by the New York State Department of Education (NYSED); and2. Current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the NYSED; and3.
