Maintenance Trades Specialist I / Electrical

JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.SAir Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech IIWe develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments, and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges
JOB SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Working under moderate supervision of the work unit Lead, the incumbent must have a general knowledge of maintenance trades (i.eelectrical, structural, carpentry and/or plumbing assemblies) with high-level skills and knowledge of Electrical systems, to effect repairs of facilities, machinery, mechanical equipment, and other related subsystemsWork is performed in accordance with pertinent guides and regulations
• Install, maintain, or repair any variety of electrical equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy
• Examine blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment
• Work standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment
• Use of hand tools, measuring, and testing instruments specific to the electrical tradePerform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their job
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is generally performed outdoors but may be indoors in a shop or repair facilityThe incumbent may be required to work under moderate noise conditions and under extreme weather conditions This position may require travel to work sites at remote facilitiesThe work requires the ability to frequently stoop, stretch, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds or more for such purposes as retrieving and moving parts (anything heavier than 50 pounds requires two people or mechanical assistance)
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE
