As a Resident Monitor, you will be essential staff ensuring the safety of the building, enforcing resident rules, serving as a part of the emergency response team, and communicate with case managers to ensure that clients are receiving the case management services that they need. As a Resident Monitor, you will be an integral part of the success of Community of Hope's Housing Program in the way you provide a culture of hope and transformation as we help people move into their own homes. This position has both Full and Part-Time slots with multiple shifts available include days, evenings, overnights and weekends. Available Shifts: Sunday through Thursday: 12a-8a, 8a-4p, 4p-12aTuesday through Saturday: 12a-8a, 8a-4p, 4p-12aFriday through Monday: 4p-12aFriday and Saturday: 12a-8a, 8a-4pSunday and Monday: 12a-8a, 8a-4pThe pay rate for this position ranges between $17.50 - $18.00 per hour and the offer amount is determined by the candidate's education, qualifications, and experience. Highlighted Duties and Responsibilities:Resident Monitor Responsibilities:Adheres to all policies and expectations outlined in the Resident Monitor Handbook.Arrives on time so that relevant information can be exchanged with the staff member previously on duty so that they can be promptly released from duty.At least hourly, monitors community areas within building including lobby, phone room and area outside the building to prevent loitering, and makes rounds throughout the building. Monitors security cameras for activity in and around the building; addresses issues as needed.Answers phone in a respectful and pleasant manner, transfers calls, and provides information as needed while maintaining resident confidentiality according to COH and HSRA policy.Ensures that visitors, volunteers, outside agency representatives and residents are signed in and out when arriving and leaving, and documents in shift log when staff arrive and leave, while working in all roles (RM, Shift Supervisor, Front Desk, etc. Checks for photo ID of all visitors. Provides traffic control to limit crowing in the lobby.Completes curfew check each night by knocking on unit doors and documenting who is in the unit. If children are not present, Resident Monitors will inquire as to their whereabouts and document that information. (Triumph only)Emails and or calls Program Director and/or Case Manager as appropriate regarding outside agency visits (Police, CFSA, Social Services, probation and parole, case workers, etc.).Fills out incident reports to document unusual and difficult incidents involving resident or facility issues, fire, rescue, and other emergencies as soon as the incident has been controlled and emails incident report to Program Director or On-Call Supervisor immediately.Informs residents of program rules and regulations and enforces them, using program staff and police as backup in difficult cases.Offers additional assistance to residents as needed or requested by the resident or staff, on behalf of the resident, in accordance to the Americans with Disabilities Act regulations. Assistance must be offered at all times and during emergencies.Front Desk Responsibilities:Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of the building's security system and provides the required support services for continued, optimal operation that ensures the safety of facility residents, staff, and residents of the surrounding community.Receives briefing from the out-going front desk RM and Security Police Officer (SPO) prior to beginning shift. Remains on post at front desk until relieving front desk RM and SPO arrives and provide briefing.Provides access to the building by screening individuals who ring the call button. Processes visitors by checking their ID, having them sign in, and contacting the appropriate COH staff to escort the visitor.Ensures that key/access cards are stored securely at the front desk. Missing or damaged cards must be reported immediately to the Program Director.Monitors the Closed Circuit TV security footage and report and respond immediately to all suspected or apparent security violations by notifying SPO and Program Director and/or calling emergency services.
