Position Summary
SJI is seeking an energetic and experienced individual to support the Procurement Department in various roles and responsibilities. The individual should possess analytical abilities, strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and stellar communication habits. In addition, a fluency with various Microsoft applications as well as Workday as an ERP and using Power BI for report analysis & reporting.
Key roles & responsibilities will include:
daily tasks associated with material forecasting, sourcing, planning, and purchase of various goods & services and related purchase orders.
perform analysis and research to identify spend data trends and convert that analysis into actionable projects.
participate in RFP’s, invoicing, and other ad-hoc requests.
leading the effort to control & aid in the inventory process flows and daily operations.
Develop and maintain relationship with a core of suppliers, OEMs, and peer companies.
Coordinate the supplier on-boarding process and assure compliance to insurance and other requirements.
Ensure compliance with established procurement & inventory protocols.
Coordinating the procurement process from order to delivery and all steps in between
Overseeing the righteous distribution of materials to proper SJI locations
Coordinating the auditing and reporting of material depots across both utilities.
Develop a fluency with supply chain market conditions and the potential impacts to the company.
Participate and help facilitate the preparation of material forecasts and the consumption of good & services across various areas.
Consolidate bills of materials across both utilities serving as an improvement in forecasting.
Recommend process improvements and facilitate changes as agreed to
Coordinating various month end functions such as outstanding invoices & accruals.
Qualifications
Required Background:
Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or;
Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience.
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Working knowledge of Workday Procurement module is a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Superior time management skills are an absolute must
Possesses advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Compensation Range:
$56,250 - 90,000
We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
