You will act as the hub between the customer, repair facility and claim staff to provide world class service by handling claims in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner. While handling claims, you will prepare detailed and organized running notes and documentation in accordance with established procedures. Requests for internal and external customers, departmental staff, and other FBL personnel will be handled according to FBL Financial Group, Inc. policies at all times. As an Auto Claims Service Specialist, you must keep a service-oriented attitude at all times by maintaining professional and productive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, agents, agency managers, claimants, policyholders, attorneys, repair facilities, and others.• Act as the hub between the client/member, repair facility and claims staff to provide world class customer service for auto physical damage claims.• Make same day contact with the client/member to provide support once agreement on repairs is made with the PARS or Open Shop repair facility.• Coordinate the assignment of a rental vehicle to the client/member and manage the rental during the repair process.• Monitor receipt of the direct payment authorization (DPA) and issue electronic payment for agreed repairs.• Act as a subject matter expert for the PARS estimate and DPA workflow, including training and coaching of PARS managers and estimators regarding our processes.• Provide training and support to FBPCIC claims staff on the PARS referral process, PARS web portal (Autoverse), and DPA process.• Provide technical support and answer inquiries from our PARS partners.• Support Farm Bureau Financial services during is response to natural disasters ensuring efficient operations during storm operations. This includes, owning storm claims as assigned in accordance with our Claim Best Practices to ensure claims are settled in accordance with regulations and policy language. Approve and issue payments based on the assessed damages.• Other duties as assigned.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:• Associate degree or equivalent. Insurance related experience is beneficial.• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.• Exceptional customer service skills are essential.• Have the ability to exercise independent judgment and arrive at decisions through sound, logical reasoning in order to handle more complex claims.• Excellent phone skills required as approximately 50% of time will be spent on the phone.• Must be PC literate and able to effectively use our systems. Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.What We Offer You:
